A lot of us are not living the quality of life we should live, simply because we are living in fear, and afraid of taking that big step. Fear is one constant feeling almost every human experience. We are scared of taking that job, afraid of quitting a bad job, afraid of getting into the career and business, afraid of investing, and a whole lot of things.
Half of the time, being fearful can be advantageous, as it keeps us from hurt. But what we don’t know is that these fears actually cripple our minds, and hold us back from thinking big and beyond our present situations.
Staying in your comfort zone can shield you from the harsh realities of life, but for how long do you want to be cocooned and pampered in your comfort zone when there are battles to be fought and won out there?
How to Face Your Fears and Win!
1) Move Out of Your Comfort Zone
Moving out of one’s comfort zone is one of the greatest fears anyone can ever have. Everyone is scared of leaving their familiar ‘environment’ and trying new things. Forgetting that these new things are the steps to new victories and winnings in life.
You can never experience life the way you have to if you are huddled up in the space of comfort for too long.
2) Engage in Things That You Fear
As activist Anna Eleanor Roosevelt rightly said, ‘Do one thing every day that scares you’, you need to face at least one fear a day. Do those things that give you the creeps; they are your rites to victories. There is no gain without pain.
It is better you face your fears and fail, than not trying at all. When you take those steps and make those scary moves, they mold and shape you. Even when you don’t win, you have learned and earned the courage and confidence to try again and again. And before you know you, you become a Pro at it, cashing out victoriously.
3) Set ‘Adventurous’ Goals for Yourself
Fear is nothing but a silly tyrant who likes to oppress people into thinking they can’t achieve anything. Call its bluff by setting high and adventurous life goals for yourself. Think of the impossible in your career, business, craft, and profession, and go after it.
Think of the worst thing that can happen when you make that adventurous but sensible and legit life move, if the worst that can happen doesn’t involve death, shame, disgrace, or incarceration, then you are good to go.
4) Dump Your Fears, Embrace Faith, Hope, and Courage
If you want to win in life, you have to drop your fears and pick up courage, hope, confidence, and faith. Joel Osteen shared this quote “Choosing to be positive and having a grateful attitude is going to determine how you’re going to live your life.”
Faith in yourself and what you can do is the key to overcoming what scares you and pushing you in the direction of greatness. You need to have faith in your abilities and be confident, hopeful, and courageous in your journey to your victories.
Never allow the fear of failing ridicule your dreams of growing big. You can be what you want to be, and achieve all you plan to achieve, if only you overcome your fears, and turn them to passion and motivation.
Ask around, the people who lead good lives, and have their names etched on Forbes list would tell you how they never paid attention to their fears but decided to forge into the unknown, from which they became victorious and winners.
Never listen to your fears; don’t give room for fear and doubts in your thoughts. Leave your comfort zone, make big plans, and follow them through with dedication, focus, and determination to victory.
